A Very Special Christmas Visitor!

There was huge excitement when Santa came to visit the boys in Scoil Eoin. All of the boys from Junior Infants to Third Class gathered in the yard to greet Santa, who arrived in serious style! The lucky boys visited Santa with their classes, they listened carefully to his advice for Christmas Eve. Some of the boys entertained Santa with poems and songs, to his delight. The boys were delighted to each receive a selection box.

Christmas Carol Service 2017

This year’s carol service was a great success! The church of St Mary and St John was packed to capacity for both the day and night performances. Each class grouping came together to sing their own Christmas song, with all of the classes combining on other songs, a mixture of traditional Christmas Carols with one or two more modern choices. The beautiful singing was punctuated with thoughtful readings, a nativity play as Gaeilge from Rang a Dó, all accompanied with music provided by Miss Meaney on piano, Miss Breathanach contributed on the tin-whistle and William in 5th Class showed his talent on the drums. The harmonies from the choir, as well as the concertina played by Alan, Colin and David made for a wonderful occassion. Míle buíochas to all of the pupils and teachers for their hard work, with a special thank you to Mrs. Healy and Mr. O’ Riordan who co-ordinated this year’s carol service.
